Mr. Chen specifically denied that Uber was using the battery information to raise prices, however, in the article quoted, the authors tested a phone with 84% battery v. 12% battery.  THE 12% BATTERY WAS QUOTED A HIGHER FARE!

IF UBER IS NOT USING THE BATTERY PERCENTAGE TO RAISE PRICES, WHY ARE THEY MEASURING THIS?

Another research piece found that Uber charged more for IOS phones v Android phones AND lower battery levels.
